I was always very curious to try lash extensions, but never had the guts to go through with it. I was scared of my natural lashes falling off or having an allergic reaction to the glue. Since a majority of my friends are just as curious as I am, I decided to go for it and share first-hand experience with you!
A couple weeks ago, I announced my first collaboration with a local designer. I am a true believer that opportunities come when we don’t expect them, so always leave your door open! Carrie Chen—the founder of Casana Designs —is the heart, creative mind and business guru for the brand. And boy, is she passionate about her product!

Jean jackets are back! Remember when wearing jean on jean was a thing, until it wasn’t. Well, now it is again! And I cannot be happier. In spring, when mornings are cold and days are hot, my jean jacket is my savior.
Dreams do come true! I am beyond excited to share my Harry Potter experience with you. But before I go into details, you should know that I cried when I did not get a letter of acceptance from Howgwarts when I turned 11. I am a HUGE fan of the books and the movies. What can I say, I love my hats. Is it strange to build an entire outfit around an accessory? I think NOT. Very often I hear people say: “hats just don’t look good on me.” I have yet to see a woman who looked bad in a hat. It hides dirty hair, highlights facial bone structure and adds an edge to anything you plan to wear. If the hat is right, you can forgo eye make-up and just do your lips. Hats are lazy and that is why I love them!

Macaroonchic has really pushed me to experiment more and to try new things. Before, if I wanted to wear something questionable and push boundaries, I never acted on it. I was always afraid to get strange looks. Now, I realize that in order to stay interesting and relevant to you guys, I have to provide something new each week and that posting the same-old plane-Jane outfits is simply not an option. I work really hard to make each and every one of my looks unique and different – but you be the judge!
I started celebrating Christmas on the 25th only ten years ago since Russian Orthodox Church follows a different calendar and New Year’s is a much larger holiday for most Russians. But, I welcome any holiday that involves presents and now happily write to Santa every year. Spoiled much?
Winter is coming! For the Pacific Northwest this means rain fall for the next 9 months. However, you will not see a picture of me with an umbrella. I don’t think I even own one! If you are a true Washingtonian you embrace this season and do not hide inside. For me, winter is a season of coats. One coat can change your entire outfit AND your day! Keep reading →
